Orthoceras is a prehistoric squid related to the modern squid, cuttlefish, and octopus family. It lived and dwelled on the bottom of the warm, shallow sea that covered the Sahara desert in Morocco over 350 million years ago. They often grew to sixty feet in length.
Artisans in Morocco hand carve platters, and decorative dishes for the home. Like all fossils, Orthoceras remind us of the preciousness of life and remember to enjoy each moment with heart-felt gratitude.
